For a while now Netflix has been producing their own original movies – but I never watched one until tonight. I saved my first viewing of a Netflix Original Movie for the right movie, and this was it – Pee Wee’s Big Holiday! It’s basically a spiritual successor to the 1986 Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, and when I wasn’t laughing out loud I was smiling from ear to ear. 31 years after Pee-Wee’s first movie and you barely notice the passage of time.
Spoiler alert: This movie made me very happy.
