Tonight marks one of those bittersweet moments in the life (or lack there of) of a fan for a television show. The show you love is finally back for a new season – but you know going in that it is going in that this is it. This is the end.
Tonight that show is Chuck.
I don’t have much time to write this tonight but I just wanted to say something about a show that has brought me and my friends a lot of fun over the last 4 seasons (tonight starts Chuck’s fifth and final season).
This is the one show left that I still get together with my buddy for every week – and that’s why I don’t have much time to type. I have to quickly walk my dog, eat dinner, and head over to my friend’s house…For the first of the last.
It’s funny looking back to the beginning – realizing just how much has changed with the show.
But one thing has never changed – Chuck doesn’t take itself seriously. It’s a comedy show above all. And while it pokes fun at the spy/action genre, it does it with a quality that makes it an actual great addition to that genre.
That’s all I’m going to say for now – just happy to have Chuck and all his friends back….
