Digital comics are wonderful things. In the past four days I was able to make up a year’s worth of Walking Dead comics. I’ve been slacking pretty badly in my comic reading over the past year, so it was great to get back into the swing of things and catch up.
Most of all it was great to speed through such an epic run like “All Out War” and then get hit over the head with “A New Beginning.” Sure that’s the title of the worst Friday the 13th movie, but for The Walking Dead I found it quite entertaining and refreshing.
There’s definitely been a time jump between issues. In fact, during the first few pages I was afraid this was an entirely different story we were starting. Luckily, it was only new characters being led into a new world with our existing characters.
But times have definitely changed. And all of it seemingly for the better.
But this is The Walking Dead we’re talking about here. How much longer can that really last?
