Finally. Finally. Finally. This movie eluded me in the theater. I just couldn’t find the time to get out and see it. My wife even saw it with her students on a field trip – but I never got out to see it. Until today.
I read Project Hail Mary last year and it was probably (not probably) my favorite book from that year. Possibly my favorite book in the past couple years. The end of that book left my a blubbering mess so I was so excited to see that the movie was now streaming.
Does seeing it at home instead of on the big screen lessen the experience? Perhaps a bit. But I got as close to my television as possible to make it as big of an experience as I could.
And it worked. In the words of Buddy The Elf, “I’m in love and I don’t care who knows it!”
