Two cousins. Two Shauns. And Me. I decided it would be a fun idea to do a little Royal Rumble pool this year. Really little. There are only 5 of us in the pool. We’re only putting $10 in each (I’m cheap) and winner takes all.
Each of of get 6 competitors, but instead of choosing the names (who wouldn’t pick the favorites?) we each were randomly assigned 6 slots (30 slots in total). I found a site that randomizes numbers and had it give me a random list for 1-30. I then found a site that randomizes (that is a word, right?) anything. I put our 5 names in and hit “scramble” 10 times. That order of 5 names then went side by side down the list of 30 numbers until each of us have 6 numbers:
- Brandon O: 18, 9, 16, 25, 10, 2
- Shaun I: 30, 16, 12, 7, 24, 20
- Mike C: 6, 19, 11, 27, 17, 28
- Shaun C: 14, 26, 1, 4, 5, 13
- Joe O: 23, 8, 22, 3, 29, 21
The number list was completely random which is why some people have multiple numbers in the 20s while others only have 1. If we do this again next year, I’ll probably set it so we each get a number in the 1-6, 7-12, 13-18, 18-24, 24-30 range.
Oh well. Go numbers 27 & 28!!!
