This week my friend Dave loaned me a boatload of Superman comic books – almost a full longbox of books. I’ve taken them up to my in-laws in Laconia and am using them as a diversion to those very same in-laws.
So far I’ve read 3/4 of the Jeff Loeb / Tim Sale “Superman For All Seasons,” a miniseries from the late nineties by the same guys who created the classic “Long Halloween” Batman story (another book I read thanks to Dave). There are four books in the series – one for each season (get it) and I’m finally up to winter.
It’s another reimagining of the Superman origin, and if you’ve know me – you know I’m a sucker for Superman origin stories.
After that – there’s just a whole lot more Superman – and there’s nothing wrong with that!
