Morning Glories: The Most Fun I’ve Had Reading Comics In A While

I feel bad. I remember buying the first two issues of Morning Glories when they first came out. I remember reading them and enjoying them.

And then I forgot about the series. I’m sorry I did that. Very sorry.

More recently I decided to purchase all of them digitally on my iPad – and that I am not sorry about at all.

If you’ve never heard of this book, I suggest you stop what you’re doing right now and purchase every issue right away. Okay, since you’re still reading this, I suggest you do it as soon as this post is over.

All I really say about Morning Glories is that FOR ME, it gave me a feeling reminiscent of LOST, probably my favorite show of all time. Sure the extremely basic premise of the book is that a group of teenagers are recruited to a boarding school – but the mysteries, character development, and overall larger world surrounding this school and these students is nothing short of Brilliant.

The series, wonderfully written by Nick Spencer with beautiful art by Joe Eisma, is only 20 issues old so far and is one of the few titles that I love reading and yet hate finishing – because I have to wait another month!

Find it. Buy it. Read it. Love it!
